Lush Inspired DIY Bath Bombs

I love Lush products. In fact, it is the concept that I really admire – fresh handmade cosmetics. So after much consideration, I decided to make my own Lush-inspired products starting from bath bombs. At the time of making I had not stated this blog so I honestly don’t have any pictures but surely the next time I make a batch, I will post them  up here.

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup epsom salt
1/2 cups cornstarch
1/2 cup Coconut oil or jojoba oil
1 tbsp water
8-10 drops of your favorite essential oils
Mixing bowls
Silicone spherical molds
Food coloring of your choice(optional)

Let’s start by mixing the dry ingredients by sifting the citric acid, baking soda and cornstarch.

If you wish to add food coloring, now is the time. You can either use a mixer our your hands ( I used the latter). Start with a few spots abs increase the intensity to your liking.

In a bowl combine coconut oil or jojoba oil and few drops of your preferred essential oils.I used lavender and ylang ylang oil combination for this batch of bath bombs.

Then pour this oil mixture slowly to the dry ingredients mixing them with your hands until it starts to clump together.

Put them in molds and let them sit for at least 24hours.
